Sometimes the make of you, can be the break of you.

Asking yourself what the fuck has happened, how did we get here?

Both of you telling your story with compounding indifference.

In the early days, we were the couple everyone said was true.

I saw the end with him.

Children, grandchildren, old and wrinkled.

Together, forever.

And then, when you aren’t paying attention…

Life interferes.

It is all in jeopardy.

Out of alignment.

For those of us who feel the pull of starting a business we do it because we know in our waters there is a better life to be lived.

We are triangles tired of trying to fit into the square of 9-5.

There is freedom and profit for anyone who dares to reach for it, we know it for sure.

But here is the thing.

What good is it if in order to achieve it you lose what really matters along the way?

We will find the young lovers in ourselves again, even with raw hearts.

True love always finds it way back to you.

For those of you like me, who have an insatiable desire to create a business to abnormal dizzying heights.

Who wake up already thinking about who, what, where.

Those who just can not settle for normal, average, mediocre.

You can have it all.

Even all at the same time.

I know it, I’ve had it, I’ve felt it, I’ve lost it, I’ve gained it back.

Remember to stop.

Be present.

In the moment.

Aware of what is happening around you.

And, if you forget, or get lost along the way…

That’s ok.

Reset, and try again.

Just don’t look up from the computer and realise you’ve lost it all.
